Patrick Boussignac was born in Villejuif, France in 1956 and painted his first canvas aged eight. After studying graphic art he gained a place at the Academy of Applied Arts in Paris. He worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and cartoonist, yet his passion was always and remains painting and he went on to study the techniques of the old masters. Learning too from the big names of surrealism he developed into a master of illusion and went on to develop a unique style of his own, named Alter Realism, becoming a star of the fantastic realists. He has exhibited in cities all over the world, including Beirut, Dubai, Helsinki, Montreux, New York, Paris, Singapore, Stuttgart, Venice, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Geneva.
